Mark Your Stumps

Five minutes of prep for a faster, safer grind.

A little prep makes your grind faster, safer, and cheaper. Before we arrive, take five minutes to mark your stumps and flag anything we should avoid. Here’s exactly how.

  1. 1

    Find every stump

Walk the yard and locate them all – including low ones hidden in grass or beds.

  2. 2

    Mark each one

Use bright spray paint, a flag, or a stake so we don’t miss any and you get an accurate quote.

  3. 3

    Flag the hazards

Mark sprinkler heads, septic lids, invisible-fence wire, water lines, and shallow pipes near the stumps.

  4. 4

    Clear the path

Move hoses, toys, pots, and vehicles so the grinder has a clear route to each stump.

  5. 5

    Note the unsure ones

If you’re not sure whether something is a stump or a root, mark it with a question mark – we’ll take a look.

  6. 6

    Text us a photo

Send a picture of your marked stumps and the access path for the fastest, most accurate estimate.
